DTSD Canine Good Citizen Class was over @fiestaislanddogpark this AM. Our very own pupparazzi @sdphodography snapped some of these great shots of the class in session. Today’s skills we focused on: Keeping the calm and focused while the walker, wagon and noise maker passed by.... Loose leash walking with automatic sits when the handler stops. Passing calmly by other Sit and down stays while the handlers walked a complete circle around the 30 second seperations where the owner walks out of sight and returns. If you have any lightly used or even brand new pet supplies that you would like to donate we are looking for: * Unopened Dog Food (Costco Brand Kibble preferred)... * Dog Beds * Wire Crates and Plastic Crates (all sizes) * Exercise Pens (aka X-Pens, urgently needed for adoption events) * Blankets, Comforters, Towels, and Dog Bowls (all sizes) * Toys: Kongs, Nylabones, Puppy Toys (all kinds * Joint and Skin Supplements * Shampoos, Brushes, and other Grooming Supplies (all kinds)Â * Puppy Pee Pads * Cleaning Aid and Enzyme Solutions * Monetary Donations are ALWAYS accepted! Meet Chaos! She is small but spunky and needs some help with her on leash manners, barking at people walking by the house and being a polite pup when they are out in public spaces. We got this! Our awesome trainer, @sara_maguire_ will get Chaos moving in the right direction as she starts her private 1 on 1 training sessions this weekend. Stay tuned for her progress. Introducing our new Pack Walk and Train service with our awesome dog guru @sara_maguire_ The outings are focused on training but in a pack setting. The pack walk and train is a mix of obedience skills like walking politely on leash, sit, down, stay, come, and wait. These skills are integrated into the exercise and socialization of the pack to mentally and physically stimulate them. We are offering this service on Friday AM’s as of now and limiting the pack size to 6. As we g...ain more interest we will add more days and time slots.
