It was stressful being sidelined as we saw some big box corporate salons allowed to remain open and not all mobile groomers shut down. Dear Dogs Gone Stylin’ Mobile Pet Grooming clients, We will remain closed due to COVID-19 stay at home orders. We plan to resume business after April 30th or as soon as government lifts the stay at home order, but that could change. The state has said lockdown will last through April. We will keep everybody updated as the situation changes, and will be in touch to any clients that have upcoming appointments. This is not an easy decision and there are several factors I hav...e based this decision on. The first one being safety of our staff and clients. The safest thing we can all do right now is to simply stay home and not leave unless absolutely necessary. If you’re looking for more ways to protect yourself and your loved ones, check out the www.cdc.gov website. Essential vs. Non Essential The state has deemed pet grooming an essential business but says that county ruling will take precedent and both San Bernardino and Riverside county have said that pet grooming of all types are non essential and are to be closed. There has been a lot of inconsistency with this question when groomers call and email the county. We have heard from several groomers in San Diego county and Los Angeles county who have had police or county officials stop into their shops to make sure they are in compliance and closed. Our stance is that we do not need to take it to that level and wait for someone to shut us down. We will remain closed voluntarily to comply with our county and ensure we are doing what we can to HELP in our current global situation. Thank you for your patience This entire situation around COVID-19 is unprecedent and nothing any of us can pretend to have answers to. Because of this there are more questions than answers and I truly appreciate all of you who have reached out to confirm that your pets grooming will wait till we are back up and running. We don't know your next appointment date and time at the moment but every day things seem to be clearing up (on an information level) and we will be able to plan soon, we hope! Again, Thank you so much for sticking with us. We look forward to supporting each other during these challenging times Dave and staff.
