Is clean green? Is it natural or organic Clean beauty isn't about being 100% perfect. Yes, man-made synthetic ingredients are clean as long as they're safe and non-toxic. In 2019 Clean Beauty became a mega-category, but no one could actually agree on the definition. Brands saw a new marketing opportunity and jumped on the bandwagon. ... Inaccuracies became rampant with everyone claiming their authority on skincare, backed by their passion for it. As we wrap up 2020, I expect to see a fight against misleading information in beauty with demand for full transparency from brands and greater trust in skin experts and scientists backed by credentials AND passion. I also envision greater focus on conscious capitalism and consumption with respect to sustainability and the environment. Recently I was advised to upgrade my packaging with fancy boxes for each product, making them prettier. Does that really add value to the product?
