First-time novelist Robin Farmer (Djerassi 2016, 2017) credits her time at Djerassi Resident Artists Program with significantly shaping her novel, Malcolm and Me. In particular, she references her participation in a workshop led by former Djerassi Program writer-in-residence, Heidi Durrow. Heidi (Djerassi 2005, 2013) considers her own residency at the Djerassi Program as having been significant to her development as a writer, having gone on to write a New York Times bestseller, The Girl Who Fell From the Sky.
