A win after Reconsideration from the Appeals Board for DIXON COOPER BROWN! At the trial level, the applicant was awarded 71% PD, which put him into life pension with COLA adjustments, a costly claim for the client to administer. Applicant’s attorney filed a Petition for Reconsideration arguing for a 100% award, our office filed a Petition for Reconsideration arguing for a 69% PD award, and the Judge filed his Report and Recommendation justifying his 71% PD award. After Recons...ideration, the Appeals Board found Defendant’s argument persuasive, granted Defendant’s Petition for Reconsideration, denied Applicant’s Petition for Reconsideration, and awarded the applicant 69% PD, therefore taking him out of life pension and significantly reducing the value of the case for the client. Another win for DIXON COOPER BROWN!

Nothing better than a sweet result on Valentine’s Day!!! After 3 days of trial, a Judge ordered that the injured worker TAKE NOTHING. Decision was upheld on the petition for reconsideration. A great result for our client as the injured worker demanded $175,000 and treatment received to date exceeded $100,000. Now our client has to pay nothing!! Great job Dixon Cooper Brown.
