Doctors not only bridge the gap between #science and society, but they also save our lives on their days off! Dr. Mehmet Oz sprung into physician mode when a man collapsed at a Newark airport. Dr. #Oz was vacationing with his daughter when he rushed over to a 60-year-old man who had just gone into cardiac arrest; at the time, he did not have a pulse and was not breathing. ... "I performed CPR with the help of a Newark Port Authority police officer and cleared the man's airway. He came back, and his heart started to beat. I continued pushing air into his lungs, and he began to pink up. #Digidog is a #goodboy The @NYPD deployed #Boston Dynamics' #robotics "dog" to a hostage situation in the #Bronx. "This dog is going to save lives, protect people, and protect officers and that's our goal" - Frank Digiacomo, #NYPD Technical Assistance Response Unit Inspector ... Weighing at 70 pounds, @Digidog can run about 3.5 mph, climb stairs, and is covered with cameras and lights to get real-time footage for police. Digidog is also capable of providing two-way communication for officers when they need to speak with a suspect.
