The Center at District56 is currently closed due to the Sacramento County Health Order, however, when we move into the Red Tier, we will be permitted to hold meetings and workshops at 25% of our capacity, (no food or music allowed). The D56 team has been working hard to create alternative layouts following the social distancing guidelines. For more information email [email protected].

To slow the spread of COVID-19, some city facilities are now operating with limited public access. Service at the Elk Grove Animal Shelter will be limited to people in need of an essential service, or by appointment only. The Center at District56 will respond to online and phone rental reservation inquiries for late spring and summer and accommodate on-site tours by appointment only. The Aquatics Center at District56 is closed. These measures will remain in effect until further notice. Late yesterday, the Senior Center of Elk Grove announced that it will close its facility beginning today, Friday, March 13 and remain closed through the end of March. This decision is based on state and CDC guidelines released recently regarding gatherings and high-risk groups. In a message to their members, the Center stated that they have no knowledge of anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 visiting the Center. The closure is intended to protect the health and safety of Elk Grove seniors who visit the center at District56. The Senior Center is expected to re-open on Wednesday, April 1. Those with questions can call the Senior Center at 916-685-3160.

Elk Grove American Legion Post 233 has announced that they will cancel all events scheduled at District56 for the month of March. They will be holding some meetings via conference call. Their fundraiser event scheduled for April 4 will be postponed until June 20. For questions, contact the Post at (916) 681-4078.
