2019-2020 ENERGY ASSISTANCE FUND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WHEN IT’S NEEDED MOST Southern California Edison is committed to helping our customers whenever possible. Working together with the United Way, we offer financial relief through the Energy Assistance Fund to customers struggling to pay their electricity bills. The fund provides an opportunity for qualified households to receive up to a $100 payment to be applied toward their SCE energy bill.

Jeremy is a 5-year-old, non-verbal child. He is currently receiving services from the Voice Options Program, through a partnership with the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP). The California Department of Rehabilitation’s (DOR) Voice Options program offers a free speech-generating device to eligible Californians who are unable to speak, or who have difficulty speaking. Jeremy enjoys much success with using the s...peech communication application, Go Talk Now Plus, to express his feelings and making requests. On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, the Center was honored to have Chris R. Hayes, our Outstanding Military Veteran Scholarship Winner from DRC’s 2020 Virtual Awards Recognition Event, visit the Center to pick up his award in person. It was such fun taking him on a tour of the office and introducing him to all of the staff. What a delightful and personable young man Chris is! We are so proud of him and thank him for his service to our country.
