Literally a last minute hey we’re getting married in three days and we no know it’s COVID but it’s just us and our pastor and our two neighbors....can you come photograph? Yes I can and I will!! These two met at an Elton John concert and fell in love on the spot! It was so sweet they played his songs during the ceremony and for their first dance in their front yard and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Congrats you two!... So I know I’ve been a little MIA- Getting a little vulnerable here- 2020 hit Diane in all kinds of ways emotionally, financially, mentally. I really hate being in that poor me state, I didn’t want to be that person along with everyone else saying this sucks. (Because in reality I have been lucky that me nor my family hasn’t suffered any lives lost) But the things that sucked this year are things that can hopefully be repaired and relearned and hearts mended. Being a wedding photographer and a business owner I have learned ALOT this year and in some ways it’s been a blessing. I learned that no matter what my clients come first. Always! I’ve always been able to have empathy and put myself in other peoples shoes and I’ll tell ya all my couples that had wedding plans for this year I feel for your disappointment, I feel for those who actually aren’t going to get married anymore too because that is what this years stress has brought to some. I learned to pivot!! I created my new family brand which LITERALLY paid my bills this year!! Thank you !!! From all that I am thank you!!! I couldn’t imagine doing anything else in life then photographing all the things. I learned that in-spite of the financial hardships that accrues (like those weddings that got cancelled or postponed was half of my income this year!) that there’s still a light at the end of the tunnel. As my wonderful friend Corey Clifford would say things always come when they’re most needed and you just have to let that happen and he’s right! I’ve always been fortunate enough to have a roof over my head and food in my belly and I really learned to stop going upstream and ride the ride. Something super exciting is in store for 2021 and I’m looking forward to sharing soon!

They had one of the most fun country weddings I’ve ever been too. ...
