We finally got the green light and I am back in studio! I've missed you all and I just want to thank you for hanging with me through this crazy roller coaster of a year. What it really looks like when I teach virtually. I’ve got 2 ring lights facing me, a table on top of a table to have my laptop at a right height, I’ve got dining table chairs as my tray, telling everyone in my house to be quiet . It’s not the ideal, quiet space but it works . . I’m having a class this Sunday and I’ve got 3 more spots left! I’ll be teaching my Glow Up technique. This is what going on a hike during a pandemic looks like. Since we can’t go on vacation and school starts next week already, we decided to go explore the Bay Area and get lost in the woods. It’s funny that it took a pandemic for me to explore where I’ve lived my whole life I have anxiety and depression and this time off has had me focus on getting healthy mentally. Imagine driving on e and your car keeps notifying you that you need gas soon and you get worried th...at you won’t make it to the gas station, well that’s how I feel maybe 75% of the time and this forced time off has enhanced that feeling, so I have to remind myself to slow down, be present, enjoy my surroundings and count my blessings constantly. For me, what helps is going outdoors and getting some fresh air and getting away even if it’s just an hour away from my house. So I encourage all my high functioning anxiety friends to go out and explore, even if it’s in your own neighborhood! It definitely helps! And make sure to mask up and social distance Happy Monday! I can’t wait to get my hands in some hair next week!! I’m so excited to see everyone again (safely of course ) I have been in the studio everyday this week making changes, moving stuff around so that I’m compliant, all the behind the scenes paperwork filled and signed and cleaning, cleaning , cleaning. I’ve got a HEPA air purifier, hundreds of masks, lots of disinfectants, wipes, hand sanitizer, UV sanitizing box (because I’m extra). You name it, I’ve got it! Who’s ready??? . . . If you are not on my waiting list, DM @dianaanteshair and I will add you on there. I am currently going down the appointments that we’re cancelled and rescheduling everyone. Once that’s done, I’m going down my waitlist and that should be done by the end of this week! Thank you all for your patience

Okay you guys!!! We OFFICIALLY got the green light!!! I will be opening up July 14 with all the news rules and regulations in place. . . I will start with all the appointments that I had to cancel starting in March and go on from there. You will receive a text from me and I ask that you reply as soon as possible to secure your spot. I will also send out a COVID-19 waiver that must be signed before your appointment. .... . Here are just some of the procedures that I have to do to ensure everyone's health and safety. . . If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please call within 24-48 hours to reschedule your appointment. . . All doors will be locked to the building. . . Please text me when you have arrived for your appointment and wait in your car. I will text you once I am ready. . . I will be screening for temperatures and symptoms before entering the studio. If you have any symptoms, I will have to reschedule your appointment. . . I will also ask you to sanitize your hands upon entering. . . YOU MUST WEAR A MASK before entering the building. Please bring a mask to wear and use during your appointment. If you do not have one, I will provide one for you. . . Please do not bring anyone else with you to your appointment. . . And once again, if you are feeling sick, please stay home and we will reschedule your appointment. . . I am very diligent on cleaning my studio, but you can expect to see me cleaning even more before and after every client and especially frequently touched surfaces and all tools that I use for services. I will also have to remove highly touched items, like magazines and everyone's favorite, THE CANDY JAR! (NOOOOOOO!!!!) If you would like to buy product, I will grab them for you and sanitize for you as well. . . I will also be checking in with myself and taking my temperature daily and making sure I feel good. Happy almost weekend everyone! What are you doing this weekend? I’m going to clean every corner of my studio because you know what...I’ve got some AWESOME news! We have a tentative opening date for Santa Clara County on July 13 depending on approval (fingers crossed). FINALLY!!!! By then, it’ll be about 4 months since I’ve worked in my studio. I’ve been closed more than I’ve worked this year Once that is confirmed, I will start booking clients for July 14. This is 38!!! Not really the situation of how I wanted to spend my birthday but you know what, I’m just grateful that I’m alive and my family and friends are healthy. . . . I haven’t posted on here in a while. I really just needed a break from posting. I’ve been feeling a lot of sadness, anxiety, depression. Not being able to see my whole family, not being able to see friends, not seeing my clients, not working, not being able to see people smile, not being able to hug people... but these are nothing compared to what our Black community goes through everyday of their lives. I consider myself lucky that I grew up here in the Bay Area. I was surrounded by all types of cultures and went to school with kids with all different backgrounds. It really is a melting pot here but even with all of this, sadly, racism still lives. We need to fight racism and be anti-racist. We need to lead with LOVE always and be empathetic to others. We need to teach our kids this and have those hard conversations with our parents and grandparents who may have been taught differently. All lives can’t matter unless Black Likes Matter. The hot questions of the week...You’re allowed to open now right? When will you be open? While the rest of California opens salons, our county still has not given us the green light and no date. I’ve been working on my business and prepping everything behind the scenes and I have all the PPE & cleaning supplies on hand to keep everyone safe. When we do get the , I am prepared and ready to open!
