For those that need an update for SoCal, here are some things we have going on, and it frustrates me beyond belief. We can’t play or practice, it’s known. However, the reason why counties/cities do THIS is because of all of you coaches & teams that want to practice & play under the radar on fields where you are suppose to obtain Proper insurance and obtain Proper permits for field usage are messing things up for the rest of us! Yes, I said it. Quit screwing up the system, f...lawed as it is, just quit screwing it up for all of us abiding by the (flawed) rules. You think the cities don’t know, BUT THEY DO! I’m just livid about this just like you but don’t make it worse. Fyi, if your organization is found trying to play/practice around the barriers you will find that your organization will Not be allowed permits when all of this is over and fields do open up. ‘Nuff said. If you would like to know some of the behind-the-scenes things all of us coaches have had to go back & forth on with state officials about returning to play, along with some of the ridiculousness as well, then take a look at what Kentucky is recommending. Obviously, their state officials are out of touch (no pun intended), but I post this because it actually affects all states recommendations down the line. My favorite recommendation is Put tape on dirt field to keep coaches & players 6-feet apart. Enjoy reading.
