Not only do we advocate for many persons and families who have suffered great tragedy and/loss at the hands of law enforcement, but we put our money where our mouth is and support women and minority owned businesses ("WMOB") as well. 4 Corners is both a woman and minority owned business, but more importantly, they do excellent work under the leadership of Sheila LaCivita. If your office needs assistance with some or all the work we do as attorneys, I'd highly suggest you give them a ring. #justiceleague2020 #theblackmancan #itsyorights

On the Santa Barbara Independent: acclaimed LA-based civil rights attorney, DeWitt M. Lacy of the John L. Burris Law Office, talks about the late Cameron Ely wh...o was shot 22 times by #SantaBarbara deputies. There was no time for what law enforcement alleges happened to have happened, Lacy said. It’s just not possible. The rendition that they’ve cooked up doesn’t pass muster, and they have to be held accountable. #police #reformthepolice #america

These are crucial times. Times of trouble everywhere. Uncertainties and unrest everywhere you go. I condemn police violence in its entirety, whether the victims are Black or White, Jew or Gentile, poor or affluent. So, naturally, when the Ely family asked that I look into the terrible tragedy they suffered on the night of October 15, 2019, I obliged. Turns out the statements of law enforcement did not add up and furthermore, one of the deputies that shot and killed Cameron Ely, was responsible for two other questionable shootings while working at the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department. Needless to say, we intend to get justice. #theblackmancan #justiceleague2020 #itsyorights
