NORMALIZE LONGER HAIR APPOINTMENTS Hey guys! It’s your friendly neighborhood hairstylist here to talk about a topic I’ve been seeing on a few of my stylist foru...ms that I wanted to touch base on. If you have a blonding appointment with me, or a corrective color appointment, which is what I mostly do; please anticipate that you’re going to be spending a few hours with me! In today’s world of multi dimensional Pinterest hair, a lot of us aren’t doing things that used to be done back in the day. Cap highlights, hell, even normal highlights are beginning to be a thing of the past. And as our styles change, so do our techniques! A lot of what people are wanting done nowadays; 80% of the time will not be a 2.5 hour appointment. I find this is what separates me from a lot of people. And the thing is, I’m not slow! At first I thought I might be doing something wrong because I don’t get people in and out. Turns out, I’m normal! Beautiful, healthy hair takes TIME. Time to apply, time to process to the color I need it so it’s not orange and brassy, and time to style and even take pictures if i can. If you want a shadow root or colormelt, you can tack some more time on there! Lol For reference, these foils and open air painting took me about an hour and a half to put in. On fine hair. And just like that, maternity leave starts tomorrow night. It’s going to be so hard for me to stay out of the salon, but I need to get ready for this baby && rest while I can!!! I can’t wait for you to all be apart of this next chapter of motherhood I’m soon entering.
