The recent police killings of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Breonna Taylor in Louisville, and Tony McDade in Tallahassee have sparked a collective rage that has built up for centuries in this country. As we’ve seen in the news, people have taken to the streets and let their voices be heard about systemic racism and police violence towards black people. Changing and/or abolishing policing as we know it in America requires a systemic overhaul, and that’s an ongoing conversation.... Also, there are small things we can do now to reduce the number of Black folks getting murdered by police. Such as not calling the police on black people.
