Due to stay-at-home instructions from our Governor and the threat of Covid 19 still out there; the Desert Writer's Guild of Twentynine Palms meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, May 7th is cancelled. Our stories will have to wait. The next meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 21st, doesn't look good either.
Reading teaches one to explore the world; new thoughts, reasonings and skills. However it may happen, one always arrives different, than when they began to read a new book. One place where you can do this is the Space Cowboy Bookstore. It’s open! https://bookshop.org/shop/spacecowboybooks Feel free to explore their online aisles!
At the time California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s order of statewide mandatory restriction for all Californians to stay-at-home due to COVID 19; except for essential things such as food, prescriptions, health care and commuting to jobs considered crucial; is still in effect. Considering that we are all exceptional citizens of the state; our meetings scheduled to be held on Thursdays, April 5th and 19th, are hereby cancelled.
Local author Arch Gibson visited our guild recently. He's now a member!

The 3 Musketeers--James, Martin, Francis--at 29 Palms HS Career Day. We had a lot of kids visiting our table. Maybe a writer or two. Who knows?
