I am honored to be endorsed by Latinas Lead California. Their support for my election will help me continue the fight for economic development, and equal pay for equal work. It is imperative that we elect professionals with diverse backgrounds, knowledge and experiences to help our cities and communities adapt to COVID-19. According to a Pew Research survey recently conducted, the coronavirus outbreak has significantly harmed the finances of U.S. Hispanics unemployment ...rose sharply, particularly among Hispanic women, and remains higher among Hispanic workers than U.S. workers overall. We cannot ignore research like this and science when drafting public policy during this health and budget emergency. I can promise to show leadership that is continuously informed not only by evidence, but also by the experiences and concerns of all our community members.
