With the help of the community, the Del Sol Lions were able to donate a total of $2,200 to the Community Resource Center to purchase new blankets for the annual Holiday Baskets Program. This donation helped CRC successfully reach their goal of 900 new blankets. The pandemic is now part of everyday life and we all need to continue to be diligent to keep all of our families and friends healthy. We have 2 items to share with the members of our club and friends of our club.... First, Lions clubs throughout southern California are collecting new, unexpired peanut butter jars to donate to the San Diego Food Bank as part of the Scare Away Hunger campaign. Please help us collect peanut butter to support your neighbors who are less fortunate. Jars can be dropped off at Solana Beach Family Optometry: 977 Lomas Santa Fe Dr., Ste B, Solana Beach (above 24Hr Fitness) until October 28th. Next, as the election nears, we want to offer a link to a video with non-partisan information on local propositions put together by the League of Women Voters. It's a 51 minute You Tube video with Pros and Cons of each proposition.
