It’s only a matter of time

No tricks here... #BingSeason is just 15 days away!

It’s such a special place and I’m honored to be asked to come back. Larry Collmus will pick up the mic at Del Mar once again when #BingSeason begins Saturday, October 31.

The hard work is done and the Torrey Holistics Leaders are set. Flavien Prat prevailed with 50 winners - including a record-setting 15 stakes - after a season-long battle atop the jockey standings. Miller saddled 4 winners opening weekend & never looked back. His team took 28 trips to the winners' circle from 116 starts.... Reddam Racing and Hronis Racing, two of the major players on the Southern California circuit, wound up splitting owners honors this summer.

This was a unique season on multiple levels, but once again our horsemen and women were outstanding. Together, we put on a terrific race meet. The racing product was first-rate and players around the country responded in-kind.

That’s a wrap. There was no roar of the crowd, no buzz of horseplayers, nor pop of champagne in the winners’ circle. Even without the energy unique to Del Mar, the excitement was tangible trackside. It’s amazing what our racing family can do even amidst such extraordinary circumstances.... Until next time Del Mar.
