The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) Monthly Leasing and Finance Index (MLFI-25), which reports economic activity from 25 companies representing a cross section of the $900 billion equipment finance sector, showed their overall new business volume for September was $8.7 billion, down 13 percent year-over-year from new business volume in September 2019. Volume was up 24 percent month-to-month from $7 billion in August. Year-to-date, cumulative new business volume was down 5 percent compared to 2019. IMETCO (Innovative Metals Company, Inc.) is now among a short list of metal manufacturers to carry International Code Council (ICC) approvals for its metal wall cladding systems. The company recently received ICC approvals for its Latitude and Element architectural wall panels used as a part of its rainscreen systems. Retired former president of Petersen Aluminum / PAC-CLAD Metal Roofing John Paleczny passed away on Oct. 18 at the age of 72. Paleczny worked for Petersen for 49 years from 1970 to 2019 while overseeing revenue growth from $3 million to more than $170 million when he retired. ABC National reported that its Construction Backlog Indicator rebounded to 8.0 months in August, an increase of 0.2 months from July’s reading, according to an ABC member survey conducted Aug. 20-Sept. 1.
