Michael Baisden Commentary: It’s All About Loyalty As the summer comes to end, we should all take inventory of our relationships. If you're fortunate enough to... be in a healthy partnership with someone who loves you, respects you, supports you and someone whom you can be yourself with...don't take it for granted because it's truly a blessing. And for those whose status is single, well, you should be grateful too, for the people in your life who you can count on to be there for you in times of need of when you simply need a shoulder to lean on. Ultimately the decision about who should remain in our lives should come down to one simple factor and that's loyalty. When I look back the people that I valued most were the most loyal. They may not have been the best sex partners, the most attractive, or the most well off financially but they had my back. Don't get me wrong, some of us are fortunate to have had a combination or those traits but overall it's not about looks, or sex, or even money, it's about paying attention to who is the most consistently present. So, take inventory of those around you. Can you count on them when the s**t hits the fan, because it will. Can you trust them to keep your secrets? And will they be there for you when it's nothing in it for them sexually or financially? Once you make that determination start subtracting from your circle, you'll be amazed by the incredible things that start happening once you rid yourself of unreliable dead weight. ~ Michael Baisden
