Two Special Meetings of the Board of Education To prepare for a Return to Campus, the Board of Education has scheduled two Special Board meetings on Saturday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 19 to discuss and define the necessary conditions for reopening for in-person instruction. Because the January 16 and January 19 Special Meetings will take place at times when DJUSD is unable to access our media services to allow broadcasting on Channel 17 or livestreaming, we will be ut...ilizing a different virtual format to facilitate public attendance. On January 12, the State of California announced that the Regional Stay Home Order for the Greater Sacramento Region was lifted effective immediately, after meeting projections of ICU capacity of at least 15%. As a result, Yolo County is returning to the most restrictive, or purple, tier based on metrics from the State’s Blueprint of a Safer Economy. While businesses may resume operations with restrictions, the operations of DJUSD remain unchanged. DJUSD is currently in Pha...se 2 of the Return to Campus Plan with limited special education services and in-person small cohorts of students on campuses across our District. Progress and planning for Phase 3 implementation of hybrid- return to in-person instruction has been ongoing with a robust stakeholder outreach process.
