DaVinci Camp had the honor to talk with concept artist Simon Varela about all the amazing works of art and projects he has worked on throughout his career! Simon is a production designer for the movies The Book of Life and Animal Crackers, he also worked on many other films including Finding Nemo, Corpse Bride and The Croods.
All the way from Milan, Italy, Camilla Querin gave an amazing talk to the DaVincis about the history and the art of protest in Latin America and the US.
DaVinci Camp had the great privilege of talking with and learning from Sarah Milkovich, Planetary Geologist and Assistant Science Manager for Mars 2020 Rover at NASA-JPL.
The team at the BDML at Stanford gives DaVincis a great presentation on the amazing work they are doing and a cool virtual tour of the lab.
The young DaVincis really enjoyed learning all about experimental animation techniques from illustrator, painter and filmmaker, Poli Marichal.
DaVinci camp had a blast while learning about Siqueiros' America Tropical mural, presented by the wonderful Michelle Garcia-Ortiz of the America Tropical Interpretive Center in Los Angeles.
DaVincis were awestruck after learning about all the intricacies of studying the human brain from computational neuroscientist Dr. Fidel Santamaria at University of Texas San Antonio.
DaVinci Camp had a great time talking with Lalo Alcaraz while he showcased some of his artwork online. Lalo is an award-winning visual/media artist, television/film writer, and political cartoonist.
Our young DaVincis were so inspired after hearing Karina Montilla Edmonds' talk about her life journey and how she became so successful. Karina is Vice President, Head of Academies and University Alliances at SAP.
This summer, DaVinci Camp had the honor to talk with Alex Padilla, Secretary of State of California, about his journey and inspirations that helped him become as successful as he is today.

The young DaVincis truly enjoyed learning about Dr. Angel Angulo's research on Geophysical Fluid dynamics focused on modeling and observations.
Vala Hjörleifsdóttirs, Seismologist at Reykjavík Energy in Iceland, gave an awe inspiring talk to our young DaVincis about CarbFix, the process that captures and stores CO2 underground which then turns to stone in less than two years.
