Update: this bird (which may actually be a yellow-bellied flycatcher or a warbler) is free! But still browsing the dollar book cart outside! Finch currently touring the shop. Uninjured. Seems to like it here. If you have any suggestions on how to escort it out, please advise!

Hello friends! A local artist just brought these Dia de los Muertos earrings and pendants by and we’ll be selling them for her throughout October. They are made from recycled print and postage stamps and priced around $35 to $40 per item. Come in and have a look if you’d like a seasonal gift!

Happy Hump Day! We’re pleased to announce that we have resumed taking book donations on a limited basis. Please give us a call or comment here and we’ll be happy to help. Sections most in need now are classics, children’s, and nonfiction/memoirs. Thank you as always for supporting us and making our shop possible to operate!

Hi Everyone The store has been sold to a nice young couple who want to operate it as a bookstore. They plan to open as soon as the license clearances and so forth are taken care of. I look forward to remaining an influence and helping them as much as I can. I'm sure they will appreciate the absolutely terrific customer base that made running the store so much fun.

Hi friends, We will be open this Friday and Saturday, the 20th and 21st, so that everybody can stock up on reading material.
