Ministry has always had a .... difficult relationship with the scene. As an early pioneer, they are rightly beloved by people new and old, we wear their t-shirts, dance to their songs, and still get warm feelings whenever they show up on our playlists or social media feed. The problem is, they either completely ignore their early material that we hold so near and dear or give us new versions that don't really have the same feeling and spirit of the originals, and knowing that... we can’t ever enjoy the songs that we grew up with is a huge bummer. Until now. OK. So it's not actually the band Ministry circa 1985 on stage. But its as close as we'll ever get - and it might be better. With Sympathy looks and sounds like they are straight out of mid-eighties Chicago, and features members of some of the most exciting and important modern-day industrial & related acts. They play all the hits as well as some very rare deep cuts. And they are playing this Saturday at Zebulon.
