September 1, 2020. We are officially closed at 1022 North Hollywood Way. We had six very successful years in this location, we all had a really fun time and we all learned a lot. At a certain point, you have to know when to walk away. When this pandemic started I told myself that we would hold out through August. Never in a million years did I think this would go past August. But hey, it took a global pandemic to force us to close this location. This is not a failure, this is... just the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next! I had to make the difficult decision to close down the salon due to the amount of overhead that it was costing. Given the guidelines that have been teased, we would’ve only been open at a small percentage of our capacity which financially just doesn’t make a lot of sense. We have split up as stylists, some of us are staying together and doing something new and some of us are going off on our own. Ashley, Kayla, and Amber have moved on to create a new Salon still in the vein of Darling Nikki’s located at Salon Republic Burbank. Armen has moved on to his own suite at Salon Republic Studio City. Marisa has moved on to a private studio in Arcadia. Briana has moved on to a private studio still in Burbank. Stephanie is still working as a freelance makeup artist. All of the stylists booking and personal contact information is still available on our website. Please reach out to your stylist directly if you have any questions or if you would like to set up a future appointment. Covid-19 has been hard on all of us, especially those of us in the service industry... With no reopening date insight, I had to make the tough decision to not go down with the ship, so to speak. I’ve decided to downsize Darling Nikki’s and move into a smaller location, still in Burbank! This is coming from Ashley directly, all of our stylists are moving out of the current location, however we will not all still be together. We don’t have all the answers yet, because the gover...nment has not given us anything to go by. If you have questions on where they are going, please contact your stylist directly. The intense financial hit that our industry has taken is something that is going to be hard for a lot of people to bounce back from. So while I still have the finances and opportunity to keep my business going, it only makes sense to downsize. There will be more details to come in the very near future, but as of September 1, we will no longer be located at 1022 North Hollywood Way. Just to be clear, Darling Nikki’s INC is not closing. Simply shifting to keep up with the times. If you purchased a gift certificate, they are still perfectly valid, I will still have the same product lines, and will still give you the best service I can. Thank you for your continued support.
