Did you know? Fire season has officially started and we already had a few fires in our beautiful state. This is a good reminder to take some action and prepare your property: 1. Clear all the brush around your home if possible to 150-200 feet from the house. I had our association do it this last week.... 2. Have your Gardner trim trees and bushes, the trees to be trimmed away from the roof line. 3. Clean all the leaves accumulated in the rain gutters.4. And most important as I have recommended each year take your cell phone, walk inside and outside of the house video and document all your personal property in each room (you can speak and describe all items), also a short video of the garage and the exterior. In case of a fire claim you will be able to prove that you actually had these items.

I would like to update you on the CA Fair Plan coverage changes. As of June 15 the CA Fair Plan will accept combined coverage up to $3,000,000. That doubles the coverage previously offered. Since the last 3 years of major fires in CA it has become difficult to provide coverage for high value homes and even carriers that have in the past accepted such risks are now not doing so. The change in the CA Fair Plan is a good solution for these homes. It is however still important th...at you call me when representing either the buyer or seller and find out if the buyer is going to have a problem insuring that property. #DannySamiriFarmers
