We are down to the final 3 #hauntedrealestate posts as #halloween is only a couple days away: The 1906 #Alexandria, now low-income apartments, has been both one of the fanciest joints in #downtown #la and a rundown flophouse. Several dancers are said to haunt the second-floor ballroom, an angry teenager hangs around Charlie Chaplin's old suite, and Rudolph Valentino apparently leaves the Knickerbocker occasionally and visits his old twelfth-floor suite. The basement, which is filled with tunnels, is supposedly haunted by a couple of mobsters, at least one of whom also likes to visit the Comedy Store.

The countdown to #halloween continues with some more #hauntedrealestate Welcome to the #lindavistacommunityhospital -Since closing its doors, the hospital deteriorated rapidly and it seemed Linda Vista was lost to the ghosts and spirits of those who died there. However, the building's proximity to Hollywood was its saving grace, and several movies and TV shows have used the hospital as a shoot location. Portions of "Outbreak," "End of Days," "Pearl Harbor" and the pilot ...episode of ER were shot inside Linda Vista Hospital. During these productions, the hospital's haunted reputation grew. Reports of unexplained phenomena came from overnight security and production crews. Darting shadows, cries in the night and unexplained humming were all experienced by those working on the Linda Vista grounds. Many claim to have been touched and pushed by these unseen forces. Since #halloween is only a week away, I figured I post pics of some haunted #realestate I’ll start with the #chateaumarmont on #sunsetblvd in #westhollywood ... According to local lore, the spirit of a comedian gone too soon lingers in Bungalow 3: John Belushi died of a drug overdose there in 1982; years later, a child staying at the hotel was allegedly found in the Bungalow, laughing alone. When his parents asked what made him laugh, he pointed to Belushi’s picture and said, the funny man.
