Today, February 4th is World Cancer Day - 8 days after my diagnosis anniversary 4 years ago (January 27th), which I quietly celebrated with my wife and daughter last week. This post is to update everyone that my Christmas wish to be cancer free after my latest scan came true! And to also remind everyone to stay on top of your health!! Since I finished chemo, there has always been a few "spots" in my lungs that never truly went away. My Oncologist thought it to either be scar ...tissue from the chemo drugs, or dormant cancer that must be monitored. I'm happy to report that those spots in question finally disappeared from my latest scan after almost 3.5 years. I take this news in stride and with continued focus to reach 5 years cancer free in 2022, when doctors deem me cured for life. Thank you God for carrying us through such a great journey! Pic 1 is with my Oncologist, Dr. Vora, who has been so amazing to us these past 4 years! Pic 2 is with some of my wonderful chemo nurses that were with me daily for every transfusion.
