A note about reopening... Many of you have been calling to see when Damon's will re-open for dine-in service. While we're eager to serve you, the answer is soon but not until toward the end of June. But...there is a silver lining. For those of you who have stopped by for take out (thank you for your support) you noticed the construction. Well, in all honesty, the Damon's we love was in need of a little TLC and so when the county closed restaurants during the pandemic we decid...ed this was as good a time as any to do some work. That work is moving along nicely and we expect to unveil beautiful new restrooms, booths, and dining chairs for you to enjoy very soon. We hope that when you see the new and improved Damon's you'll agree it was worth the short wait. And don't worry nothing radical going on here. Damon's will now and always stay loyal to its 1937 Tiki roots and the work we are doing honors that heritage. Between now and when we're ready to re-open we hope you'll consider enjoying items from our to-go menu along with a Mai Tai or Chi Chi. Your support has been a life saver and we are so grateful for your standing with Damon's and our employees through this very difficult time. Psst...One more thing New bathrooms aren't the only changes in the works. Toward the end of the year you'll have a new place to enjoy a Damon's cocktail or throw a private party on our second floor. ear Friends, As you already may know, in an effort to help minimize the impact of the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak, the County of Los Angeles has ordered all restaurants to close for dine-in service. We’re complying with this directive and are now offering takeout with a 10% discount off our regular menu prices see below for what’s available. We’re working on delivery options to be announced soon. These are difficult times for many of our staff members and their families; we... are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from many of you. You are all like family to us and we look forward to the day when we can raise a Mai Tai and toast to having beat this challenge together as a community. Commonly used surfaces such as door handles, check presenters and menus are being disinfected throughout the day and night. . Bussers are sanitizing tables with commercial sanitizers and added bleach products to reduce any possibility of accidental community spread. . Employees are being reminded about strict handwashing protocols especially after contact with commonly used surfaces. Employees have also been instructed to use our hand sanitizer stations throughout their shift. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Damon's. Come join the fun

n the spirit of the Holiday season, Damon’s is participating in an annual toy drive for economically challenged children in the inner city. All toys will be delivered to Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School & 93rd Street Elementary School which are located in South Los Angeles. For many of these young people, the toy that they receive via this toy drive will be the only gift they receive for the holidays. If you would like to help us, please leave a new unwrapped toy in... the marked barrel near the host stand in the restaurant. If you would prefer to donate funds to the toy drive, please make your donations payable to Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and leave them with a manager who will happily provide you with the school’s tax identification number. All of the checks will be hand delivered to the school. Then the school will directly contact the wholesaler & purchase the toys at a discounted price. All donations are greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. At this special time of year, let’s remember those who are less fortunate and brighten the lives of kids in our greater LA community: by fueling hope and happiness, we can help to build strong academic foundations, inspire life-long learning, and promote mutual understanding and appreciation among the diverse cultures of this city.
