Daily Double Sportfishing

Nice day on the water after the storm. We ended up with 22 sandbass, 7 calico bass and 34 sculpin. Plenty of room tomorrow. Cmon down and visit us.

We are bass fishing and it's pretty good. When rockfish closes and bass is our primary target plenty of our customers prefer our fishery. We our very fortunate in San Diego to have something to catch. We ended up with 56 sandbass and a calico bass for our 23 passengers. Lots of room this weekend. Cmon down and visit us. Fred.

Very quick limits of sandbass for our 7 passengers this morning. Hardly any reservations all week and plenty of fish to be caught. Come take advantage of the light loads and the beautiful weather. Mask was removed for the picture but please bring a mask with you to wear all day

The governor said we can still fish. Weather conditions have been great and fishing has been pretty good too. Our trip yesterday produced 70 sandbass for 17 passengers. Cmon down and visit the boys and me. Fred

Another first on the sheephead fishing for us. We caught 5 fish limits of sheephead for our group this afternoon. Final count for 13 passengers was 11 calico bass, 4 rockfish and 65 sheepshead. Best conditions have been in the afternoon for bass and goats. Bring shrimp if you're joining us in the afternoon. Fred

Amazing the difference a day can make. We have been working really hard to scratch out some fair catches. Conditions were less than perfect. Today we roll out thinking we would fish deep for rockfish. That plan was scrapped real quick when we saw 72 degree clean water right in front of the bay.

When I say it's the most I've ever seen it comes with a little experience. The previous high count I remember on sheepshead for a half day trip was 76 fish back in the early 80's. We had 81 sheephead this afternoon to go with 10 calico bass and 3 whitefish. If you are fishing with us this weekend you might want to bring some raw shrimp.

We have had some good success catching sheephead lately. Still some calico bass to be had as well. C'mon down and visit the boys and me. Fred

Conditions are changing for the better and starting to see more fish in the Point Loma kelp beds. We saw yellowtail pop up a couple times yesterday and hooked a couple of them but both escaped. We also saw large school of barracuda, but the seal lions shutdown that bite. The calico bass bit decent all day. There were a lot of 13" to 13 3/4" calicos to keep you busy pulling on fish throughout each trip. For those that fished hard, they were rewarded with some nice calicos to take home for dinner. Beat the Heat on land and come out fishing and have some fun!

Fresh batch of anchovies came into the bait receivers today. What a game changer. We ended up with 23 sandbass and 17 calico bass for our 16 passenger plus a bunch of released fish. They should have small bait through the weekend. Cmon down and join us.

Finally got a shot at the calico bass this afternoon. Long overdue and we took it out on them pretty good. A little shy of limits we definitely found ourselves in the right place at the right time. C'mon down and visit us. Fred

Really good rockfish bite this morning. It's pretty hard to get me away from topwater fishing this time of year. Today was exceptional. Hopefully more of the same tomorrow morning and we really want to bass fish in the afternoons. C'mon down and join us. Fred
