For those of you who missed our epic first year’s Halloween event, you also missed the announcement of our new D3 Game: Dollar Team! How it works: competitors pick 4 dogs to form a team, and create a team name. All four dogs take two jumps, and the farther of those is their official score. You with me so far? Then all for scores for the team are ADDED together. The goal is to get as close to 70’ as possible. For each foot (and inches) over or under 70’ a team is, they’ll rec...eive one point. (Kinda like Black Jack, but you can go over or under, you just get one point per foot). The team with the FEWEST points wins! What do they win, you ask?!? DOLLARS! We aren’t called Dogs Diving for Dollars for nothing, you know. Actually, the first place team wins 400 DOLLARS, split between the dogs, so $100 each. The second closest team wins $300 ($75 each) and third place wins $200 ($50 each). Just a few quick rules, since the full rules will be published in our rule book: a dog can only be on one team per event. Teams can be made up of dogs owned by the same person or different people. Team names must be unique. Team members can change from event to event, if you desire. At the end of the year, we will be awarding a Year End Dollar Team award. That will be the team with the smallest points average. To be eligible, a team must compete at at least 2 events in the 2021 season. See more
