Rotary Club of Terra Linda Club Members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto: "Service Above Self". "Ernest C. Withers was born in Memphis, Tennessee in August 1922. He started taking photos in high school when his sister gifted him a camera that she was given by another classmate. However, it wasn’t until World War II that Withers had a formal artistic education at the Army School of Photography. After the war, Withers returned to Memphis and became one of the state’s first African-American police officers before going into business for himself and starting the Withers Ph...otography Studio with his family. Introducing Desire to Inspire Studios Foundation. The foundation was founded in early of 2020, right at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. We shifted hard when we realized that nonprofit organizations needed a way to continue to raise money to help a community even more in need, and stay safe. So we helped those organizations take their fundraisers online. Since the beginning of the nonprofit in April we have helped seven nonprofits create over a hundred videos, to prod...uce virtual fundraisers totaling over $1,000,000. We work together with organizations to keep their sponsors,donors, and community connected during this difficult time.
