It was a successful week for me teaching in Kingsburg at Clay School, grades fifth through eighth grade, a curriculum of ballroom and social dance along with so...cial manners. On the last day I held a school dance with assistants Fred Books (who has been helping me for 41 years), Wolfgang Hoffman a senior in high school and Blake McAllister, a freshman at CSUF with a major in music education. Just came home from a two hour session of teaching my teenage Demonstration Ballroom Dance Team which has the nickname of Demo Team. How many of my Face Book fr...iends have been in Cotillion and on the Demo Team? My current dancers have finished a Cha Cha choreography and am now learning the Samba and West Coast Swing and my advanced group is working on the Quick Step. I have 11 boys and 11 girls and they study with me year round on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. I enjoy these kids so much. Over the years I have worked with hundreds of teen ballroom dancers from 5th grade through high school who have joined the Demo Team. The students must be a Cotillion member to join the group and they dance at Cotillions as motivation to my beginning dancers and as entertainment at Cotillions. See more
