This year was another success with our long standing partnership with the City of Norwalk and Project Angel Tree. Thank you to all of our members and board of CWA Local 9586 who participated this year in helping the children of Project Angel Tree have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of CWA Local 9586, Hopefully you and your family are doing well during these unprecedented times. After cancelling the last 2 scheduled membership meetings due to the COVID 19 pandemic and a county wide curfew we are going to be holding our membership meeting this upcoming Wednesday August 5 at 7pm. We will be following the CDC guidelines to keep everyone safe. i look forward to seeing the membership again and please bring your masks. Thank you and be safe!

Dearest brothers and sisters of CWA local 9586, Hopefully you and your family find yourself in good health. I come to you today with a heavy heart, one of our union brothers from the Victorville call center by the name of Ismael ((Ish) Lopez has unfortunately lost his battle with COVID 19. ish was the brother who would always DJ our union rallies. If you attended the February 2020 rally at the Long Beach Lew Davis building you will remember him, he put on some good tunes a...nd had everyone dancing at the rally. Ish was a dedicated CWA local 9400 mobilizer, union steward and most importantly a husband and a father. Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Executive Board of CWA Local 9586 has been monitoring all the developments regarding the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). In keeping with the recommendations of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and the LA County Department of Public Health, we are hereby cancelling the scheduled 4/1/2020 membership meeting until further notice. This measure we are taking is aimed at inhibiting the spread of the virus. We will also be cance...lling any and all other meetings that are scheduled to take place at CWA 9586’s offices until further notice. Again this is an added measure to protect the health and safety of our members and attendees on the guidance of public health experts. Please be safe and take care of each other.
