Join us Thursday afternoon as Ron Celona will interview actress Jeanne Sakata to help audience members discover the little-known aspects of Sakata’s long and storied career. Actress and playwright Jeanne Sakata has enjoyed recurring and guest star roles this year on ABC Shondaland’s Station 19, NCIS Los Angeles, Disney Plus’ High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and Disney’s Big Hero 6, with her voice animation talents soon to be featured in two new projects for Marve...l and Apple TV. Onstage, Jeanne delighted New York audiences in 2019 as soulful and spunky Mom in the Vineyard Theatre’s Off-Broadway premiere of the brilliant new comedy Do You Feel Anger? Of her portrayal, New York Times’ Ben Brantley raves: Ms. Sakata is so touchingly, desperately beseeching that you may feel the need to call your own mother as soon as the curtain falls. We like to keep up with the actors who've appeared in our productions and thought you might also be interested to know what some of them are up to. Maya Lynne Robinson, who brilliantly portrayed Jory in CVRep's 2017 production of "Disgraced" is one of the stars of the hit series "The Unicorn" on CBS. Season two starts soon, but you can still catch season one on Netflix and CBS All Access.
