Has your pet been microchipped? If your pet gets lost and is taken to a vet clinic or animal shelter, your pet will be scanned for a microchip to reveal his unique ID number. That number will be called and you will be contacted using the contact information on file with your pet's microchip. A microchip is only the first step! You must register your pet's microchip to give your pet the best protection. Register your pet's microchip in a database with your contact informat...ion. This will be important so you will be contacted when your lost pet is found. Also, remember to keep your contact information up to date whenever you move or change phone numbers. FYI: A microchip will normally last the lifetime of your pet because it is composed of biocompatible materials that will not degenerate over time. (:

Hi this is Apollo, a 9 week old handsome blue pit bull. His dad brought him to us because he was very sick and lethargic. Later that day we diagnosed Apollo with parvo virus. He was hospitalized for 3 days with us in our isolation unit, while he and our dedicated doctors and nurses fought a very tough battle. Luckily he survived! He is now back to wagging his tail, crying with excitement, and jumping on us with joy! This virus can be really tough to beat and we are so happ...y to see Apollo in a happy state with his long life ahead of him! For those who haven’t heard of this, Canine Parvo Virus is highly contagious and often lethal to dogs. The virus affects dogs gastrointestinal tracts and is spread by direct dog-to-dog contact and contact with contaminated feces (stool). This virus can live up in your household for up to a year. Keep an eye on cute new puppies and make sure they are vaccinated!
