Hello All! New Year is upon us! It's possible to become our best in 2021! I heard a saying recently, and please forgive me for forgetting who said it; "This is a season to fight for joy." I know that 2020 was a challenge for me, and I felt like it could have defeated me, but this year I'm challenging myself to become my best. Just a heads up, we'll be starting the next Nutrition and Weight management class on Monday, the 18th. We are accepting new members until the afternoon ...of Wednesday, the 13th. The introductory Zoom meeting will be held on that Wednesday night at 6pm, and the first day of the course is Monday, the 18th. That way, you'll have four days in between the intro meeting and the kick off of class to get prepared! We only have a few spots left. Want to make a dip that is affordable but tastes like a million dollars, here's your chance! In this video Coach Kim shows you how to make a delicious chicken dip that you can serve as a healthy snack for your family or just for yourself. Combine these ingredients: 375 grams of canned chicken *drained* (this 2 cans)... 1 tbs chopped green onions 35 grams [3 1/2 tbs] of center cut bacon chopped ("homemade" by Kim) 30 grams [3 tbs] slivered almonds 60 grams [6 tbs] of fat free shredded cheese (we couldn't find fat free, so we used reduced fat) 1 tsp minced garlic 120 grams [about 1 1/3 cups] of olive oil mayo *Kim added avocado which is a healthy food that complimented this very well! It feels really good to get a good stretch through your legs. The Forward Lunge can increase flexibility and lengthen the Hamstrings at the back of the thigh, and the Gastrocnemius and Soleus, which are the muscles of the calf.
