Cub Scout Pack 212

The 1st year Webelos Den had an an exciting event tonight! The den met with Councilmember Konstantine Anthony tonight via Zoom. It was amazing. The scouts asked great questions and learned a lot from him. He really connected with the kids and vice versa. It was great to watch!

Scouting for Food 2020 Scouts, we know how fortunate we are to have a warm meal every night whether around the campfire or at the kitchen table. And we know that not everyone is so lucky. That’s the genesis of Scouting for Food, the annual food-collection drive. It’s another reminder to our local communities that Scouts are here, doing good turns. Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags at doors to let their ne...ighbors know about the drive. On the second weekend, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags full of canned food, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, juice and other nonperishable items. Please help distribute bags to homes in Burbank. The Pack is responsible for distributing the bags in our designated area. Troop 210 will pick up any bags next weekend and drop any collected food at Burbank Temporary Aid. Please help distribute the bags! Many hands make quick work of the job. Each family will go out separately to an assigned area. Scouts should be in uniform, not pack tshirts. Please wear masks and social distance at our meeting place. We will meet at the back corner of the parking lot in George Izay Park (Griffith Park and Clark Ave). UPDATE: There is a chance of rain tomorrow morning. If it is raining in Burbank at 8:30am tomorrow, we will move the bags out to Sunday, Nov 8th at 3:30pm. Same meeting place. Or if you wanted to cover an area between Saturday and Wednesday afternoon with your scout, I can arrange to get you the bags. Any questions, please call Kathy.
