2020 - what can we say about this crappy year, other than que se vaya p'al you know where! Covid, loved ones passing without being able to say goodbye, isolation, masks, layoffs, riots, foreclosures, no socializing, no vacations, no hugging or kissing loved ones - these were all the gifts 2020 brought us. To add insult to injury; BOTH the Lakers and Dodgers won National Championships and none of us were able to be in the stands to cheer them on. As a fan of both it was EXT...REMELY sad for me. It was especially for us Dodger fans - we had waited for that moment for so long! So to 2020 I say, adios, goodbye, sayonara, ciao, au revoir, auf wiedersehen, and in every other language known to man - don't let the door hit you on the way out! 2021, you are being welcomed with open arms as long as you don't follow in your predecessor's footsepts! We need to have love, laughter, and LIFE again. So get to it! Pero por si las moscas - let's have our 12 uvas, bucket of water, suitcase in hand, new underwear on, and lentils cooking on the stove! All kidding aside friends, we all know how difficult 2020 has been for the whole world, and pray that this New Year wipes away all of the tears of 2020 and brings us many, Many, MANY blessings! We got this picture from one of our followers. Her little two and a half year old son is a CRAZY Dodger fan. He knows all the players by name; yells at them when they do good or bad, and gives high-fives all around when they win! Our follower asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween and without skipping a beat he said "Toomgis"! Sooooo, like any good Cuban Mom, Lissie Rodriguez MADE him this costume! Cuban Carlos Alvarez, who in the 1960's was dubbed "The All-American Cuban Comet" for his speed on the football field; is being honored with a documentary on his life produced by ESPN.
