Super excited to share that the ensemble members of CSUSB Opera Theatre are now in the throes of stagings and soundtrack recording for Missy Mazzoli's 'Song from the Uproar', an opera based on the life of early 20th Century feminist Isabel Eberhardt. We are working in collaboration with critically acclaimed dancer/choreographer Faith Jensen-Ismay of the San Diego based dance company, Mojalet Dance Collective to create an new and innovative staging of the work. The soundtrack will feature LA based hotshot players Steve Thachuk on electric guitar, Phil O'Connnor on clarinet, Sarah Wass on flute, Scott Worthington, Double Bass, our own Kevin Zhang on electronics and Alastair Edmonstone on piano. Stay tuned for streaming dates of our film adaptation!
