Open to advanced students in art history, art practice, art education, and photography. Seminar projects are student-determined interventions - proposed or realized, depending on the scale and current feasibility.
Our Medieval Art course (ART 105) spent the semester working to improve Wikipedia articles on the topic of medieval manuscripts! Here's what they collectively accomplished: 1550 total edits 691 references added 52,200 words added... The articles they worked on have already been viewed 411,000 times! Congratulations, ART 105 students!
This was a challenging semester, but we are so proud of all of our students! Sacramento State students have an amazing ability to persevere despite incredibly difficult circumstances and this was on full display this semester. We're sad that we won't be able to be together in the fall either, but we know that we can do it! We hope to showcase some of our students' accomplishments on this Facebook page over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Is an epic change in the art world coming after the pandemic?
Hi students! Worried about your classes because you don’t have a laptop? Get in touch with one of your professors (ANY of them) immediately to tell them you need a laptop loan. IRT is trying very hard to get students what they need! #wegotyou #tech #sacstate #youcandothis
We are sorry to announce that along with other campus extracurricular events, the Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon is cancelled. We plan to have another one next year, so we look forward to seeing you then!
Unfortunately, due to concerns over COVID-19, we will be canceling our Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon.
