Dear Currently Enrolled Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism and Film Students, I hope this message finds you well! As we prepare for the start of fall semester, I want to provide some clarifying information regarding the schedule of your online courses. Those courses where you are expected to attend the class via Zoom have specific days and times identified in your schedule. Prior to the start of the semester, you will locate the Zoom link in the course Canva...s page. Courses that do not have days and times identified in your schedule indicate Webonline, requiring you to refer to Canvas for course instructions and expectations. Please note for class sessions with a day/time, students will be expected to attend in real time in the Zoom classroom. Additionally, if you are trying to add a course that is currently full, you must email the instructor to make your request. Use appropriate and professional netiquette at all times in your online communication! Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Best wishes for a successful fall 2020 semester! Gerri L. An insightful look by a Sacramento writer on the often over-looked influence of California writers: "It took an absurdly long time for America’s so-called center to see that a new wave of California literature was happening. Literature of so many kinds and so many genres from so many different types of peopleat the highest levelhas been coming out of California and from Californians for decades now. In fact, if there’s been an American moment in any genre over the past 20 years, it’s had a California component."
