CSUS E-Sports Club

Hey everyone, A kind individual from Lukewarm Media (makers of Primal Carnage) has reached out to us to offer us a "sponsorship" of sorts! I NEED some feedback from you guys about the level of interest for what's on the table so I have something to talk about in our next exchange! Here's what's on the table. Primal Carnage. If a game night focused on this game is something we would commit to, first of all it would be fun as hell ripping each other apart as T-rexes, second of... all there would be prizes. I'm sure you guys could all find some gameplay video on youtube to get hyped on, but sometime soon the club will be putting up some footage too. But that's just for fun. In addition, if our level of interest is enough it's possible that we could arrange any of the following: play-testing beta content, or participating in presentations / Q&A sessions with the developers- for those of you interested in pursuing game development as a career I think these would all be awesome opportunities! Anyway, I would definitely want to do all of these things but I need your support. For any of these things to be arranged, I need a commitment to join in on the fun and events by everyone who's interested, and if I get that I promise to give you the earliest notice possible for a time and place, which ideally will be at least a month unless the development team has any outstanding issue with scheduling. So let's start talking about this, especially the gaming event! We're overdue for some fun. What day of the week, would friday or saturday be best? What time, afternoon or evening? How many people can attend? I would hope for a bare minimum of at least 30. Can anyone lend a hand with spreading the word once we have a decision on the how and when of the event? I'm only on campus 2 days a week and have almost an hour commute so any help would be welcomed. If you have any input on any of this, if you'd like to be a part of the headcount for potential players, or if you want to offer to post / handout flyers, feel free to discuss this right here (on Steam, Facebook, or OrgSync), come talk about it at our general meetings, or message me directly (on Steam, the club e-mail, or a message to the Facebook page). Good News Everyone! The club is up and running this semester, our meetings will primarily be held on tuesdays. Stay tuned for an official schedual with times and room numbers.
