She is known as the elderly theatre goer who roams the halls of Laxson. She has been seen up in the balcony during performances and has had paranormal encounters with several Chico State workers. With the 2020-21 theme, Art and Social Change, the California State University, Chico Humanities Center hosts a series of events that inspire discussion about the ways that art can help us understand the past, engage with current social concerns, and envision the future. On Thursday, they host "Of the People, By the People, For the People: Theatre, Community, Solidarity and Play," a free virtual lecture with Sameera Iyengar exploring continuing life of theatres in India, connected and committed to people, seeking change, dreaming big dreams and determinedly taking everyday steps toward them.

For several years, Chico Voices has been a highlight of our season as we showcase talented artists from our area. This year, we've reimagined Chico Voices into a virtual experience.
