(Bakersfield receives a nod in the film.) Please join us next Wednesday! Our first talk of the Spanish Language & Linguistics Speaker Series was a success! We really enjoyed hearing about Dr. Dalia Magaña's research on metaphor in medical discourse. Please join us on Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm for the next event of the series (Tim Brandon, Kern County Court Interpreter).
