February is Financial Aid Awareness Month! Don't forget to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa, California Dream Act:https://dream.csac.ca.gov/ and CSUB Scholarship Application: https://csub.academicworks.com/. Need help? Workshops will be held at CSUB in the Walter Stiern Library (Lower level - lab 16). Thursday, February 20 - 5:30-7:30pm Friday, February 21 - 12:00-2:00pm

Great news!! Award notifications for 2019-20 started going out on Wednesday, 3/27. If you applied for financial aid and did not receive a notification yet, make sure you have turned in all documents on your myCSUB to-do list and have accepted your admission to CSUB.

Don't get dropped from your classes!! Make sure your tuition/fees are totally paid. The campus will be dropping students from Spring semester who have an outstanding balance after Feb 8, 2019. If you still have a balance, please contact us. You may still be eligible for additional financial aid.

Mark your Calendar! Free Scholarship Workshop. Come use our expertise to get help completing your CSUB scholarship application. There are over $1 million dollars of awards. The event will be held in the Walter Stiern Library on February 15 from 9-10:30 am in lab 16 on the bottom floor. See you there!

If you plan to receive financial aid to assist with your spring semester expenses, please be sure that your FAFSA is complete for 2018-19 and all checklists items on your myCSUB have been submitted. Federal Student Aid Subject: OUTAGE ALERT IRS DRT Outages on January 6 and 12, 2019 The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) will be unavailable on Sunday, January 6, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. Eastern time (ET) and on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 6 a.m. to Noon ET, as the IRS completes critical system upgrades. During these outage periods, users may access fafsa.gov, the myStudentAid mobile app, and StudentLoans.gov. However, if an action requires entry of federal tax information, the tax information will need to be provided manually. Applicants may wish to complete the application after the outage is over. We apologize for the inconvenience these outages may cause and appreciate your patience as the IRS completes these important upgrades.

Great news!! We began packaging financial aid awards for academic year 2018-19. Hopefully, you have received your award notification from us already. If you have not, don’t worry. We will continue to package awards for financial aid applicants weekly. You will be packaged if you have submitted all required documents, your financial aid eligibility has been determined and you have accepted your admission to CSUB.
