The Bulldog Family would like to send their condolences to Butch Hughes and his family. Butch passed away yesterday..he was an incredible coach for Merced College and a dear friend to Coach Noce.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you long time CSM Hitting instructor Mike Stubbins passed away today after a courageous battle with cancer. Coach Stubbins was an integral part of Coach Noce’s coaching staff and an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate hitting instructor. Coach Stub was ahead his time in many of his hitting beliefs, as evidenced by how hitting is being taught today. His contribution to the success of CSM Baseball over the years is immeasurable. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike’s family. #bulldogpride
