Hi everyone!!! I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Crystal Bauer. The owner of Crystal Bauer Photography. As much as I love taking everyone’s photos, it always seems impossible for me to get a professional photo of myself! So I was pretty excited when my talented friend Isabel, captured this one, on our location scouting adventure yesterday! If you don’t already know me, let me tell you a little bit about myself. My passion for photography starte...d at a very young age, and I actually fell in love with film photography. I wanted to build a dark room in my house when I was a teenager, but my parents didn’t go for it! I stepped back into photography about 10 years ago, and then fell in love with digital photography. Both are pretty amazing, but digital photography has my heart now. There isn’t a day that goes by that I am not completely grateful that I have a career, that I absolutely love. Some fun facts about me! I LOVE photography, and meeting new people. I take a bubble bath almost everyday night. I’m obsessed with coffee, and always have a chapstick. Girls trips are my favorite. I love to travel. I love dancing and singing, even though I can’t sing, I have moves! Lol I believe, that if you believe in yourself, and surround yourself with love, you can achieve anything. Yesterday, I came across Jessica and Jason wedding day. It was the first big wedding, that I photographed. This was very early in my career. I remember feeling so afraid the day before, that I would fail. Even though I was prepared, well as prepared as you can be. Weddings are different. Things change all the time and you are on a time schedule. This is were my fear of failure came into play. Fear is pretty powerful. This is something I realized early on in my business. Fea...r held me back for awhile. Thank god I was surrounded by a lot of cheerleaders in the beginning of my career!!! They definitely gave me the confidence to keep moving forward. There is not a successful person that I know that hasn’t failed. So why are we so afraid to fail? If there is any advice I can give, it’s to fail. Get up. Try again. Try harder. You will get whatever you are willing to work for. The day of their wedding arrived. Once I walked into the O’Donnell house and I saw my bride, all of my fear went away. I felt so excited to capture her special day, and to be surrounded by so much love, that I was lucky enough to capture! All of my fear turned to gratitude just like that! I remember walking away after I was done photographing their special day, feeling so proud of myself. I did it! I killed it! I had so much fun! This wedding was the wedding that made me really want to be a Wedding Photographer. Thank you Jessica & Jason for helping me fall in love with wedding photography, through your special day.
