William Traynor, Executive Chef, Crowne Plaza Hotel Ventura Beach. Chef William is a born native of Ventura that has 30-years expertise in the culinary arts. He began his passion in 1990 as a graduate from Santa Barbara City College Culinary program and continued his apprenticeship through the American Culinary Federation in Santa Barbara until 1993. Soon after his apprenticeship he used his culinary skills in all the hot spots of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Virginia Beach be...fore returning home to Ventura County. Over the years of enhancing his culinary excellence, he has honed his talents to his true love of farm to table Harvest Menus. Chef William’s focus on the individual development for each seasonal menu is driven toward building relationships with local farms and ranches to produce a unique but approachable offering for our guests and locals. Chef William brings extensive knowledge in menu development, team building, vendor relationships and kitchen design to all his clients. His thought process is simple. Cook, Eat, Innovate, Repeat. On Chef Williams time off, you will find him surfing at Surfers Point, not only on weekends but before work as well. He enjoys spending his free time fishing and, in the outdoors.
