Here's a little insight into one of the Crown City Racing cars that is currently being built. A recently published article documented the Exocet pictured here, which has a 556hp LSA engine, dubbed XXXocet. At the end of the ride, the journalist could only make one comparison for the acceleration of this beast: the #McLaren #P1. Note that the journalist has had multiple experiences with the P1 on track. Also note that it was a 3rd gear pull, and the 235 width tires were still ...spinning slightly. Our car, @800RS, will have a fully revised and extremely aggressive front and rear aero package, 315 width tires all around, and 800+hp (depending on how the aero/suspension/tires handle it), to name a few standout features. Luke Hatanaka and 800RS plan to race on the Regional and National levels of NASA's Unlimited division. This is NASA's fastest group of cars; if it passes safety, it can race. Crown City Racing has two exciting announcements! We are pleased to announce that the checks are cashed and the money from our charity event has been sent to Make-A-Wish of Greater Los Angeles! The proudest moment of this entire process came not from standing on a podium, but from handing a check to Make-A-Wish for $3,522. This result is amazing, considering it was all raised from a small private group of racing enthusiasts! We were also honored to have the chance to work wit...h Rapid Ascension Media on an official video recap of the entire event! The video is amazing and we will be posting it here soon, so stay tuned! As a young venture, we are so proud to say that our first ever Crown City Racing event was entirely focused on giving back, executed in a creative way that blends charitable donation with passion for motorsport. We would also like to recognize our star-studded sponsors, as none of this would have been possible without them! Driver: J. Brookes Treidler "Smoothest hands you'll ever see." @brookestreidler Brookes Treidler is currently a successful student at the prestigious Art Center in Pasadena, CA. He is a Photography/Film major and he aspires to own his own production group as well as race professionally.... In 2014, he also helped form Crown City Kings, LLC, an exotic car club from Pasadena, CA and went on to become a full-time member of Crown City Racing and has flourished in the spotlight. Born and raised in SoCal, Brookes has been an automotive enthusiast as long as he can remember. Brookes is a diehard Porsche fan at heart but you’ll never see him waiver from his long-time Lewis Hamilton support. He currently drives a Birel chassis in Formula 100 and opened his season with a P2 qualifying position straight out of the gate in his first competitive race ever. He is an extremely promising driver with many victories to come. He is an avid motoring fan, with his extensive memory of Formula 1 races. In his spare time away from the racing, Brookes also enjoys playing soccer and doing photoshoots with high-end exotic cars. He has an impressive portfolio of photos including various models, Evan Paul Motorcars, and Crown City Kings.

Driver: Luke Y. Hatanaka "Aggressive tendencies are an understatement." Luke Hatanaka is a Southern California boy at heart, but goes to school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He studies Mechanical Engineering with a minor in the Hogan Entrepreneurship Leadership Program. Luke aspires to use this area of focus to revolutionize automotive manufacturing and motorsport.... Luke has helped co-found Crown City Kings and its affiliate racing team, Crown City Racing with Raymond, Wesley, and Brookes. Currently competing in the Formula 100 Karting Series, Luke will work his way up into the ranks of advanced club racing. His project car, an Exomotive Exocet, starts with an unassuming Miata. He will transform that into a tube-frame, 800kg, highly aerodynamic, supercharged V8 monster that will be extremely competitive on the National stage of club racing alongside older ALMS Prototypes, NASCAR, and FIA-spec cars. Luke has plans to fully optimize this car using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) testing for aerodynamics as well as advanced engineering technique both to win National races as well as win shows with 800RS. Luke has also started a club on Gonzaga’s campus for racing enthusiasts like himself. The club is called Formula ZAG and their goal is to build, from scratch, a formula-style car and race it at the nearby Spokane Raceway. This formula car would be competitive in all autocross and standard-length circuits, with CFD testing and suspension geometry optimization serving as just a few of the ways this car will dominate any track it visits. Luke is Founder and President of Formula ZAG at Gonzaga University. In his free time away from CCR and Formula ZAG, Luke enjoys watching the Formula 1, ALMS, European Formula 3, and NASA/SCCA racing seasons as well as playing for Gonzaga’s Men’s Club Soccer team.

Driver: Wesley Thu "Raw talent." Residing in Pasadena, California, Wesley's love for cars was evident at an early age. By age 5, Wesley was hooked on NASCAR and the sport's top driver, Jeff Gordon. At age 12, Wesley received his first taste of racing at the Jim Hall Kart Racing School in Oxnard, California and has since then driven through the karting ranks, most recently training in a Formula 3 car. With the support of sponsors including McLaren and Lamborghini of Newport Be...ach, Wesley has aspirations of racing Formula 3 full-time in 2016. In his free time, Wesley enjoys watching IndyCar and Formula 1, as well as surfing and playing the guitar. During the summer of 2014, Wesley co-founded Crown City Racing, an auto racing team based out of Pasadena, California, alongside drivers Brookes Treidler and Luke Hatanaka. Together they race in the Formula 100 Karting Series in Southern California with aspirations of eventually transitioning to cars. Most recently, Wesley co-founded Crave on Campus Inc. alongside partner Dave Shah, and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Crave on Campus is a Food Delivery App for college students, by college students. Along with serving as CFO of Crave on Campus, Wesley also serves as a Managing Director at DW Ventures LLC. Welcome to Crown City Racing's official Instagram account! We are a fully-fledged racing team based out of Pasadena, CA. CCR currently competes in the Formula 100 Karting Series, where all 3 of us placed top-5 in our very first competitive race, one of which was a walk-away podium for 2nd place overall. We have high goals, both short-term and long-term. We hope to get our Formula 3 division as well as our NASA National Unlimited division started soon in their respective class...es. Start of the Main Event

Start of Heat 2

August 8th, 2015: Crown City Racing tackles Round 6 of the Formula 100 Karting Series at the challenging CalSpeed Karting track in Fontana, CA. We are pleased to announce that all three drivers finished within the Top-5 in the main event! The day started off well with Brookes Treidler qualifying in the 2nd position and Wesley Thu right behind in the 3rd position. Luke Hatanaka suffered from a blown header, but was still able to qualify 11th out of the field of 17. Wesley Thu ...managed to finish on the podium after finishing in the 2nd position in both heat races, as well as the main event. Brookes Treidler finished both heats in the 3rd position, and finished 4th in the main event as the tires began to degrade. Luke Hatanaka was able to charge from 11th through the field finishing the heats in 7th and 6th, and was able to break the Top-5 by the main event.
